I need help trying to sale my Lightning. If ya can spread it around to anyone you know, I would appreciate it. My wife and I just found out she is pregnant. I am going to get a more family friendly vehicle. If anyone helps me sell it for the price I am asking or close I will give you $500.
01 Black Lightning - 6,200 miles Hard cover, spray in bed liner, Lo-Jack, Ford factory alarm, tinted windows, perma-plate(70,000 warranty on paint & leather), and extended warranty. I have added Borla mufflers to the truck. The truck has no scratches or dents and no blemishes on the inside.
I am asking $32,000. That is $6,000 less than what I paid after everything was added. Or they can assume the loan.
Let me know if you know anyone that would be interested.
Thanks for your help,

Thanks
I noticed that right after I posted it. You can tell I do not want to do it. The car dealership offered me 29,000 and CarMax offered 30,000. I just can not take a hit on this. The truck is worth alot more.

I would take that $30K and run. With the '02's already out and people selling their low mileage '99-00's at around $21-23K's, it would be a ***** to compete with that.

If I am going to lose money on it, I would rather sell it to an individual not a dealership. They will turn around and make money off of it. I am willing to lower to 29,000 but that is the lowest.

Sorry to see ya go Brian! I know how much you and your wife enjoy that truck. However, congratulations on your lil' newbie! :)
Good luck selling it and I'll keep my eye open for a buyer of that ultra-rare and by far 'slowest color' black Lightning. :p :D
Take care.

Thanks Red. If I do not get the offers I want then I guess I will have to keep it!!!! oh darn
I just want a fair price for it.
Have you ran yours yet?
I ran a 1/4 @ 13.6 at Ennis
Slow reaction time though .8.
I am still going to go to the meetings. Maybe I can pick up a Gen 1 and fix it up in a year or so.
Take care

Brian,
Don't freak out, if you just found out about the new baby, you have a few months to sort things out.
Keep the L clean and low milage as possible. By the time the baby comes, you'll have a bit more equity in it and hopefully the the "Hit" won't be so bad. :)
Besides, you'll need a truck to carry all the "Baby Stuff" for a while .. :D
Congratulations ............... :tu:

30 from carmax is a deal... I would jump on it ... The Used market is depressed with all the Zero financing.. Logan just sold his 99 for less than 20k - his was in good shape...

I would keep the truck, get a car seat, and let the woman's car be the trasport. Unless the monthly payment is the problem? Both of my friend s with kids are like this:1) He has a 99' C5 Vette, she drives an Expedition. Family outings in the Expy, man trips and dates in the vette. 2) He has a 01' SS Camaro tuned out and she drives the 02' Honda Accord family car. Both are happy and still fast! :tu:

Don't get discouraged man,
We have a 2 year old and a carseat fits just fine in the passenger seat with the airbag off. My wife rides in the middle seat (that is where she rode in my Gen 1 while we were dating:D .
You can still have a lightning with the family, just be careful when the family is in it. My daughter loves riding in "daddy's truck" I have another truck, but she only wants to ride in the L. I will get on it a little when she is with me. Everytime she hears the whine of the s/c, she says "wheee daddy, wheeee!!" It's great!

Thank you guys for all of the advice. I really appreciate it. I believe I am going to keep it for now. I was pretty much ready to trade it in. When I took my wife with me she was the one that was saying now I would rather you have this truck. She does not want to sell the Lightning. The only reason I was willing to sell it was to be off more with the baby. I will decide later when the baby is here. So I am still here for know.
Once again thanks for the advice,
Brian Kinsworthy:)
