With 5500 miles on the SD I decided it was time to use it like it was designed. Went and got 2 cubic yards of 1" greystone to fill in some spots in my driveway. Dunno' exactly, but I'm guessing about 6K lbs of rock, and figure another 1500 lbs for the trailer. Piece of cake for the SD, even though I just realized that I forgot to put the tranny in tow/haul mode. :hammer:

Having done this once before in the L. with 2 yards of waterlogged road base in the same trailer I can assure you that the SD makes a much better towing platform. :tu: The trip in the L. was a serious white knuckle experience.

If I were to ever trade the L, the new SDs would be at the top of the list.

Fine looking real-estate, Brian.

I have towed my Lightning across the country with the Tow/Haul on and with it off. I actually get 2 mpg better milage with the darn thing off. When I start to exit a freeway, I kick it back on to benefit from the help it gives with braking. It actually will down shift at just the right instant. Pretty cool feature.

Uncle Rocks,

No male-parts in the 'fridge around this homestead.

I'll show you "real man" after this hunting season.:D
