Terry,
At what point does the catalytic converter become a clogging point to the exhaust? Meaning, since I have a 4#, ported Eaton, c&l plenum and elbow, big arse filter, etc.. would the cat possible be clogging the exhaust a bit, or do you have to be up to the 6# with headers, etc... before it becomes a hindrance? just curious and would like to get your opion.
I realize that it would be illegal for me to change mine since I dont have at least 50,000 miles nor is mine damaged.. gotta respective the law.. :flaming:
Thanks

F the law:evil . The cats are a good source of backpressure for power and torque under 3K rpm. Do the headers to eliminate the cats. Otherwise the manifolds are the next problem.

After reading a few threads over on NLOC, I was thinking to stay with the stock manifolds, go to 2 hi flow cats and minimize the cost but still look stock. I wouldnt dare make a change without consulting you first. If I am going to go through the expense of headers, etc.. I will come back to Dallas to have you do some more work. If it just the cats.. on post recommended that you go from 4 cats to 2 cats and make them hi flo to pick up a lot more Hp.. the other issue is whether or not my setup would really benefit from this or is it going to be just a small incremental pickup that wont be of that much value..

The internet poisons minds, just like the fricking water pump thread. Cats without headers does not do anything for you.
