where is my fuel going???????????

i just noticed the past few fill ups i have only gotten 240 miles to the tank. i have a 6# lower, sct x cal 2, c&l elbow, air raid, and exhaust. with all those mods i have been getting 290-300 easy but now it just dropped. could it be spark plugs, vacuum line, the ECT or what??? any help would be great. :beer:

Could just be crappy gas. I've had trouble getting good gas since the price hike.

i thought about that too but i dunno 60-70 mile loss seems like a lot to me.

How is your tire pressure? That could account for some of it.

just got new tires and they are the 295x45x18 stock size 32 all around

When's the last time you cleaned your air filter?

fuel filter changed at most 3k-4k miles ago and air filter does need a little cleaning but its not too bad. i still have the stock plugs in it with my 6# but terry put a mild tune on it so sunday im going to go ahead and change them and see what happens. also putting a scan tool on it tomorrow to just check a few things. i have a feeling its the plugs but i dunno my friend has been getting worse mileage lately along w/ family members so i dunno if gas would be the culprit or not. anymore suggestions would be greatly appreicated b/c gas prices suck and 240 to the tank is killing me. i got on it only once last tank and still got 240 so its not driving habits.

I used to get those mpg #s when I drove the L on commutes - and I'm bone-stock except for the Air-Raid and PR exhaust.

I stick to Mobil/Shell 93, too.

240 was a good week for me. I am driving about 5-700 miles a week which is $120 a week in diesel if I am lucky.. I am about to buy a 100gal in the bed tank to store more fuel for these price hikes and chances of rationing.

i just posted in the other thread i think its shells gas that was killing me. i think its doing good now got 80 miles and only 1/4 gone when it was about 50 and 1/4 gone so who knows. if i hit 280 i will say it was just bad gas.
