Just got home about 45 mins ago. Special thanks to Terry, Linda, and Curtis. Tranny on the truck went out in Kansas and Terry had to haul me home. Linda and Curtis were life savers and let me drive the Focus the rest of the way home. I guess I will try the warranty route and if that doesn't work I will get a PR built tranny. It sucks, but it could have been worse.

The new route coming home was awesome. We got about 18/19 mpg. Mark got all the way from Olathe, Kanas (30 miles from Kansas City) to Plano on a tank of gas.

no doubt we were rolling, after jake blew his tranny and they got him loaded up i took off ahead to get gas and i went probally 100 miles or so about 95 and 100 to get far enough ahead i could get gas and catch the convoy when they caught up and i bet i wasnt at the gas station 5 minutes and i called mike to see were they were at and looked up and they were all flying by on the highway so i had to double time it violently to catch them

Michael and Steve-O driving fast, now that's an understatement. Glad no one got tickets again, three years in a row.
I think I came the closest in our group at the KS toll booth.

I came pretty close on the way. Michael said that a undercover car came over the hill right after I passed a guy on the shoulder (which was not smart, but felt right at the time). Karma is a bitch. Guess that is why my tranny is broken now.

Here is a picture of my Dad and I in front of the truck holding the goods...

I think the truck was also real close to winning best in show (audience voting). Maybe if a couple of talon members would have stopped by on the way out... :)

Gunman also got 1st place in the show in the Radical Division. He has an amazing set up when he is ready for the show... Even his Jack has the lightning theme going.

Our best time in the 1/4 was 13.648 which is ahead of Bluto when we ran it last year with street tires.

I thought it was a little ironic that the SL class came down to Texas vs Colorado, just like last year. It came down to two black trucks this year versus two white trucks last year.

Unfortunatly the result was the same.. Colorado 1st, Texas 2nd. Maybe we can get them next year.

Again, I though Gary did an amazing job getting through all those rounds in the SL class. He had to work for it, where last year I got a lot of help (red lights, bye into the finals, etc).

It was a blast... I am already looking forward to next year...

What will we ever do to keep us occupied until then... :)

Hey Fred...that's right, I remember now. Just be glad I didn't say three skunks in a garbage can:d .

I agree with Trevor about Gary. I go to alot of events and sometimes I see fellows win by only going through two rounds. Putting five drivers on the trailer is something to be proud of. Good work Gary.

One more thing. Red lights count as wins too;) . It means you intimidated the other guy so bad, he lost control:cool: .

The alternate route home was a winner. Lots of cool stuff to see. Thanks to Dennis for the alternate path.

I do not know what you are talking about. I have no recollection of Oklahoma and/or most of Kansas though......even the pics Heather took of the plains area, on the way up there are blurry.
