Just wondering do you guys think a Gen one could pass the emissions tests here without cats(other then the visual)? There is a cat-pipe for sale, with gutted cats for cheap I was thinking of getting... :burnout:

I'm not betting on it around here (within the metromess). That's always the first thing my local guy looks for when I bring in the G1.

Maybe find a rural inspection place within your county (Denton right?) and they may not care.

My old Gen 1 with straight pipes did not pass :rolleyes:

How much do you think it would cost to put on working cats?

Problem is the gen 1 has to be put on the dyno and a 2 speed test done on it with the sniffer in the tail pipe, no cats and a sniffer is pretty much a automatic fail do to the cats not being there to do there job... YOu could always go try it with out the cats, its only $39.50
