I have been debating back and forth on what to get and I think I have made up my mind, it will still be awhile before I get it and have it installed, but I'm going to go the turbo route instead of a Kenne Bell :nana2
Now all I need is the motor to be droped out of the other truck at Terry's and get that motor pieced together and assembled and do my stereo stuff before I get this.
This kit comes complete for $5,800, with other options, (bigger BOV, etc.)

I know that I will lose alot on the bottom end, but with the stall I can get the turbo to spool quicker rather than with the stock converter, and plus since its a 76mm turbo, it will still be streetable, since it is my every day driver. plus the gains on top end will be huge. Plus Turbos are more efficient and easier on the bottom end.
This is also the company Sal got his turbo from and he's pushing upwards of 800hp
I still am debating on what to get, so Terry, Rob, Rocks, other gear heads chime in with your thoughts. I've got to do something big to bring to the table for Uncle Rock's or T Hogg :evil and would like to be the first local TALON member with a turbo.

Just a little heads up for you with PTK! I have a friend that paid up front for his kit over 9 months ago and he still hasn't recieved the complete kit from them yet. I have heard of others waiting 4 and 5 months. That is why I didn't do business with them. They could go bankrupt and close the doors and you would have a hard time recovering your money. Just my 2 cents.

Try posting over on NLOC about what people think of PTK and that should give you some idea of how they are to do business with. I do know of people that have recieved their kits in about 4 to 5 months. What I did not like is that you have to pay up front in full to get on the waiting list. Dave Pickrel is building kits for the Gen 1 but isn't doing anything for the Gen 11's. I would pay Dave upfront no problem. Good luck, it would be very cool!

I remember that like it was yesterday. I used to call the old Talon "Rob Killer". Yep, that was its name. I used to call Jeff and say, "Jeff, come pick me up in the Rob killer". That thing was a Gen 1 terminator. Crackin ass all over the place. Good Times.:tu:

my buddy in austin told me months back that if i wanted to turbo he would do it for me. He makes alot of custom turbo manifolds that alamo in arlington buys. He has a shop down in austin. He also has a evo that cams like a v8 :eek2:
I plan on going turbo, have since anybody on any of the boards even posted about it. I miss turbo, its fun.

i am pretty good friends with a guy that used to do all of quadzillas twin turbo plumming on his diesels and is a artist when it comes too it, and he builds custom ceramic coated headers with a step in them for like 1100 bucks for pretty much anything, he teamed up with a guy down in grandburry but i still have his home number

That is actually where I got the site for the turbo, just didn't read all the pages it included. I guess since I live in Texas I could fly/drive down to San Antino and not have to mess with them shipping, plus if they did start to mess with me, I could go down there in person, with a few lawyers and get my parts. I guess I need to do more research on where to buy from, but at least they are starting to make turbo kits and not having to be custom fabbed

My truck is the truck that is in the shop right now getting the fab work done on it. Personally from all the drama I have been reading from camcojb I would never buy from PTK, but that is just my opinion. The kit from Polk has a lot of things to offer that make it different from this one from PTK To start with its offering a GT42R turbo. This is slightly larger than the turbo PTK is offering. Also, one of the big thigs to me was that they are creating an entirely new plenum which does away with the blower (gutting internals is some people's method here) and the stock plenum bolted to something like the PTK kit features. If you guys have any questions or want any more info let me know, or ShockTherapy and we will be glad to help. And Im right there with ya man, I gotta do something to get Rocks back from beating me in the first round, then again in the finals of LFEST. :D

I guess my truck scared sh!t out of folks. Round two and round three where red light wins. Work on your lights. Reaction times can kill ya in bracket racing.
Hallsville is still in planning stages. Rumor has it that Hallsville has closed. We are looking for alternatives. There is a thread somewhere about it. I will try to find the thread and post a link so you Arkansas fellers can stay ready.

Man, my lights were great all weekend during TnT, but once the eliminations started, I was sucking, except for the .10 in the 3rd round. All the rest of them sucked, then that rev limiter hurt me in the finals.
Id like to know whats up with Hallsville, we always look forward to that

The way I understand it is that Hallsville has closed the gates. We are looking at a couple other options. Do the membership bit and get in the members forum. You can keep up with it and have some input. Ten bucks is all the membership costs. All the good dirt is in that section anyway...LOL.
