99 Tails

I searched through about 6 pages of results on F150 for this and got no information.

I am looking at getting a 99 black L pretty soon (pending a miracle happening this time.) The thing I really don't like are the lights on there.

I have heard that the front ones can be changed out with the 01+ model years, but what about the tails? I know they have the 3 bulb system, but can I still get 01+ tails on there? Do I have to fabricate a new mounting system or what? Any help would be appretiated. Hopefully I can say I am an L owner pretty soon. knana Thanks guys.

Actually....forgot about the longer screws on the 99's . You either need to get new screws for the '01+ or cut your stock ones. If you don't you'll puncture the inside of the light. I speak from experience :tongue:

well he has blacked out tails that still show red. Since his tails he has is a 2 bulb system and the 99-00 are a 3 bulb what do you or can you do about the 3rd bulb?

Ya I was thinking of my smoked tails that i have right now on my 03 F150. I wanted to put those on the L

they will bolt up but i have no idea what to do with the extra bulb.
