It was built by my uncle, me, and buddy Daniel. Help to have a general contractor for an uncle  Now all we need is to put up the insulation, and put up sheet rock, brick and roofing

Look like a mod party is needed to break it in. You supply the KB and I'm so there:cool:

I can't see the whole house but I do see 6 garages. You might be a redneck if your house has more garages than bedrooms. I classify as well. Are you sure it meets code on the left front corner, must be 18" where I live.

In any case very, very nice.

Sweet....looks tall enough for a lift to me :)

That's one of the regrets when I built my house, wish I would have gotten the garage done such that a lift would work in it.

As far as code, it looks pretty close to the house as well. In Arlington, all free standing buildings (sheds, garages etc) have to be 7 feet from a dwelling. I know this because I had to move my shed after Lowes built/installed it too close to the house and the inspector said :nono:

Here is the best lift I've found- breaks down in minutes if not needed or you can put dollies on it and roll to the side. This is on my wish list for the garage.

Really? That'll suck because I was looking into putting up a shop on the side of my house but it would be closer than 5ft.

You are right the garage is actually too close to be considered free standing, luckily my uncle knows the inspectors and codes and we are putting an breeze way from the roof of the garage to the roof of the house so it won't be "free standing" anymore.

Thanks for the link Steve-o, it actually was designed to put a lift in it. We will definately need a mod party to break it in!!!

The inspector came by today and said they are done inspecting and can finish it out. So ATTN: Jeff :D. Once it's finished I will be picking up the motor and 55 gallon drum of fuel from Terry's. I already bought my electric pump for the drum.

Yup, brick on the front, east and south side, and hardy plank on the west, the reason for the hardy plank is because it was a car port with a two car garage, the plan got reworked and there isnt a ledge to put brick on it.
