Can some of you here recommend some good local places and/or web sites to shop for toys for your trucks? I'm not much of a mechanic and don't want to do things that might void my warranty, but I still would like to at least get some cosmetic ideas for my new Lightning.

Thanks all...

Welcome to the board!
What are you looking for specifically? Only appearance type mods?

I would suggest you come out to one of our meetings (we have on this Thursday at Pappa's BBQ on NW HWY) and get some ideas and talk to the guys.

Yes. Primarily appearance stuff.

Personally, I like the way the truck looks right from the factory, but I'd still like to check out some appearance options.

I used to be a field guy and drove all over, but since my move to the Dallas area, I'm not that familiar with some of the road names and/or cities yet. Isn't NW Hwy the 114?

NW HWY is between the split to 35E South and Loop 12 south a few miles south of 635(LBJ).

Here is a link to the map: (see ya there)

Lyfisin,
I might finally roll down for one of these meetings if you'd like to follow. I live in Plano.

I may just do that. If nothing else, it'll give everyone there something to laugh at.

I'm not a car guy and I don't know the difference between the chips you guys keep talking about and a potato chip, but it sounds like an interesting time.

What I do know is that, for the first time ever I think, I bought a vehicle that I really wanted instead of something that was practicle and well... it's just dang fun being in it. :)

I'll check the boards for something that looks like an address to this place. I think I've actually been in that area a time or three, so I don't need to follow anyone down, but if you want to drive down around the same time, let me know and I'll head towards Plano.

I'll be heading down from Richardson, so you can follow me if you like, or I can meet you somewhere along the way. Shoot me an e-mail thomas.liss@att.net.
