I was wondering how many of you run a fuel system or fuel injector cleaner thru your L on a regular basis? Do we even need to with the cleaners that are put into gasoline these days?
If you do use a cleaner, which one do you use? The last study/article I remember reading on this was in Hot Rod magazine several years ago and it was when STP came out with their entire fuel system cleaner and it showed it removing carbon deposits on valves, pistons, and the heads. But is it really necessary? Maybe Terry will chime in here too..

What is good on this stuff? Lucas, STP, Gumout, Slick50, etc?

I run diesel additives when towing or after questionable fuel or severe cold weather. As for gas engines I wouldn't do anything except maybe a quart Rislone every 15K miles.
