ok i raced a couple of hemis at the track one of them had 2 stages of nitrous, the other 3 stages and they told me what website they were on so i jumped over there to try and pick up on any threads saying anything about that night and heres what i found( by the way i didnt tell them anything i had done to my truck)
Yeah, hemroid's qc was movin for sure,shoot,4 weeks ago I was going 9.45's@74(before headers (http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ipg.asp?scid=324&ptid=56)/cut-out).O4 SW,we need to get your nitrous (http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ipg.asp?scid=327)strait too,but you already have a good plan brewing for your motor with that dual cut-out,extend tube set up.Your truck looked really sweet. That red lightning you raced had quite a few mods if you didn't know,he told me he had upper and lower pullys,LF runner/intake,serious tune for big power, his ET was good, but his mph wasn't anything to fear at 84 http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/forums/images/wink.gif,next time, right? That is fricking great:banana: . You must have left a mark when you busted his hemi ass. You have them upping your mods for you...:rll: . Next he will claim you hit it with a 200 shot.
Some of them Dodge boyzzz have no respect for what a Lightning can do. I can be rolling down the road with my caged Lightning coated in tire rubber and those darn fools will still rev on me.
Keep kicking that ass.......:tu: .

I have a buddy at work that owns a standard cab Hemi Ram. So far he ran the best of a 13.10
w/ 150 shot of nitrous. He thinks that he'll take me one he gets his TC and LT headers installed.
I would imagine he'll dip into the 12's...I seriously doubt he'll gain .5 sec.

I am betting he gains maybe 2 tenths from the TC. The headers will gain him a tenth at most...;) . Between both maybe 2 - 3 tenths. A half second ain't gonnahappen...IMHO.

I beat a Dodge Hemi regular cab on a regular basis last year with my basically stock 93 Gen I in the TMCC series. I do get a kick out of the (usually uneducated) conversations that go on between Dodge truck owners.

I have raced 3 different SRT-10's (black, red and silver, and yes black was the fastest :D ) at Denton and one on the highway. at the track its the same story they can't launch those trucks so they end up running low 9sec passes (1/8th mile) I would run 7.9's to 8.1's. The ones I have raced at the track all have been cool and checked out my ride, and vise versa. The only time I have lost to a stock SRT-10 was on the highway. We went from a 60 punch and took it all the way past 140mph. Watching him start pulling away made me start respecting their highway capabilites given the mods and money I have put into my Lightning. Not worth the $10,000-$20,000 over a Lightning, but overall a cool truck.
From what I have seen with the 6 speed they will never make good track trucks, now with a stall and the auto tranny behind it and a set of slicks, then we should be seeing them cut some good times.

Those suckers(SRT-10's) still have 500+ cid motors and throw down 440-450 RWHP in stock configuration. As Michael said, the 6 speed's gonna slow them way down from a dig, but from a highway roll-on, even a pretty well modded bolt-on Lightning is going to have his hands full! ESPECIALLY if you stay in it past 115 mph or so.:nono: IMO, if you stay in it past 115, then you deserve to have your a$$ handed to you anyway!:evil
Look out for the Quad Cab SRT-10's at the track(especially 1/8 mi). Those suckers DO have automatics, and 4:56 gears. They're not THAT much heavier than the single cab, and some Cool Breeze Dodge Boy with a set of stickies, and a stall converter, could very well surprise a folk or two. Just a quick heads up!:tu:

They switched to an Auto in the quad cabs cause the kept blowing clutches in the tranny, also want to appeal to the towing type which it voids the warranty if you add a trailer hitch to a regular cab, I know this cause they told me when I test drove one and almost bought one. good thing I didn't :throw:
