My truck was having some problems starting up, taking too long to actually catch when I turned the key. I thought it was the battery previously. After talking to Mike (PoorSVTman), he said it was probably my IAC and I should clean it. So after reading up on threads here on Talon, I decided to go for it and clean the thing. i'm a newb at this and didn't even know where/what the IAC was. I found it, thanks to the posts on here (and the picture someone posted of it.) Man, what a difference. She starts up like a champ now.
I guess what I am trying to say is thanks for the info. These boards are great and I am amazed by what I learn every day. :tu:

I knew I would screw something up. I go to get in my truck about 30 min after I clean the IAC and start it up. The catches a little, gurgles, shakes, coughs and then finally catches. When I am at idle, my RPMs are at about 600. And now when I am idling, it will shake. Never did this before. Did I do something wrong?! Do I just need to give it some time?
I did take my truck to get aligned at Ford the other day. Do you think they reflashed my chip or something? I need to go get a tune asap I think. Does Terry do tunes? (Once again, I'm a newb to this). Thanks for everyones help.

he said he cleaned it with brake clean and it runs fine now. I bet he just had a little cleaner left in there and it stumbled when it sucked it in.
