I cant remember who you are it might be JCblack but you have numbers below your headlight on the front bumper. Black Lightning, white numbers. Anyways I was just curious what the numbers were, is it your production number?? and Is it a "click" thing?. I saw it at Kennedale over a year or so ago, and I always liked it. I thought about doing the same to mine but dont want to steal anyones glory.

It's production numbers. Lots of the SVTOA Cobra guys have them. I tried it once on my L and didn't like it, but each to their own.

It is Jake (JCBlack) and they are silver "Saleen" numbers. They are his build number

Saleens come with the number on the front bumper like that stock. So thats where the idea started from, I'm assuming.

That is pretty cool. I have a low build number too. It's 115. I looked it up to be sure. I might have to be a copy cat also.

Looks sharp, Jacob! :tu:

Just curious, what's the allure of low-build #s? I'm 4510 / 4726 in the '02 Production Line.

One of the last '02s. :)

You have to call SVT to find out. Maybe blacksunshine will give the phone number to us.

Damn...they built a bunch of Lightnings that year. I did not realize there was a year with so many L's. It might still look cool anyway. I would go for it.

Actually its 1-800-FORD-SVT or 800.367.3788. Also in case you dont know if you want a cert of your prod # fax a title / registration with your phone number to 313.621.2500 and receive a cert within 4 - 6 weeks.

I just called them, gave them the VIN and he was happy to show me.

Well its not like my bumber isnt in great shape anyway, so we'll see how it looks. Yeah I didnt either, apparently they made more '01's than any other year AND black was the largest color produced. So..I have a "most un-rare" lightning possible.

Also, FRDRCING, do you have the NLOC name who made the decals?

I like the #'s idea. Why not do it for Talon members? Kinda of a club thing. The numbers could look like the Saleen numbers but in a red, white, and blue stars and stripes color scheme. Any takers?

BLACKSUNSHINE

Not a bad idea. I personally like the silver or white outline, it looks professional not just like any sticker stuck on the bumper. Its very subtle. Maybe just an outline lettering of TALON in smaller letters below the number. Or a T before the number.

After I bought my 2003, in May 2004, I faxed the SVT team a copy of my title and drivers license and requested a build certificate, which they sent. the telephone # is 800-367-3788, Fax # is 313-621=2500.
The build Certificate shows the Vin#, model year, build #, build date, and total built that year. Mine is #3597 of a toatal build of 4270, build date May 1, 2003. One of only 600 white one in 2003.

Well I got one now, a big 3048, I had it made at Fast Signs in Ft.worth. I went up there with pictures and went through sizes and font until we got it as close as possible. I cant tell any difference in the font. The quality is great. I was able to get it in a silver metallic. Cost me 6 bucks. I had him save the design incase I fooked mine up or any of you wanted one made of your #.

I took a quick pic w/ my phone, sorry the pic quality blows.

OK the server will not let me upload and pics withoug getting error...I'll post them later

Here try this. The bumper looks terrible, all wear from highway driving. At night you cant see the chips :D And the silver lights up from the headlamp. Not too bad. just a long number.
