why cant we upload animated avitars, i tried and it said it isnt allowed?

You can they just need to be the right size and type

The maximum size of your custom image is 130 by 130 pixels or 87.9 KB

The ones you see are gif files and are small
Its very common for a animated gif to be a HUGE file - Animated gifs are essentially just layers of images that play one after the other - if you have 40 - 4kb layers it adds up quick '

There are 2 standard avatars that Supporting members can choose from that are animated - that suggests that you can pick and animated image.
If you are getting a specific error - paste the error here and tell me the size of the file you are trying to upload

size limits usually 130x130 and 19kb max file. Let me try one of my favorites:D

Damn, foiled again! It must be due to the new version of the site. I ran my old gif several times before, now it says no animations allowed..

i have it saved on my computer and it moves there so how do i make work on the forum, sorry about all the questions new to this kind of thing

What size is it on the PC ??
How did you upload it ??

i uploaded thru the custom avatar link and on my computer it shows to be 150 by 141, which if thats too big how do i resize it

Looks like the software dd what it coudl to reduce the image to the right size and in the process dumped all the other frames

Its a PAIN in the butt to shrink animated images

Perhaps you should ask Mr :ron:

I raised the kb to 89 - which is HUGE for a avatar

yeah it shows mine to be 150x141 but 296 kb

Yes you are special - but you knew that

the code that shows this http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/ranks/supp_vendor.gif also puts you in a diffeent group . I fixed that group - try again

Try one more time
