I'm planning on being there barring any inclement weather. I think there's a 20% chance of some rain tomorrow.

Looks like my truck's gonna be tied up for at least until Saturday. I hope to have it back by then. I can't wait to get it back out there. Maybe next Thursday or possibly this Sunday evening if all goes well. Ya'll have fun....

Well, it looks like only Jason and I made it out there tonight. Weather was great for it. It took me 5 tries and some and some "learnings" from Jason to finally post a descent time. My first 2 times out I got sideways going down the track... posting a 10.7, then a 10.1, 8.48, 8.43, and then a 8.37 @ 84mph.
It was good meeting you Jason and thanks for the help out at the track; enjoyed!

Congrats Larry! 8.37 is moving pretty good. That's about a 13.1/13.2 @ 104-ish in the 1/4. Get her 60' down into the mid-low 1.90's which should get you into the 8.20 range, and you'll have a 12 second truck on your hands! :tu:

I wish I lived closer. I want to come back out and get off the bottom of the 8's list.
What learnings did Jason give you and what mods do you have on your truck?

Had a good time, it was a good night for racing and not extremely busy.
Larry it was great to meet you. It's a small world that you live two streets over in my same neighborhood...:tu:
I got a best of 8.27 at 83mph with a 1.78 60'.

Damn that is a slow truck:D . A 1.78 should be in the high 7's. It must be sucking wind after first gear:hammer: .

:D :D
Seriously, it was a good hard launch, no spin at all. My trap speeds are off, that means I'm either not making the power or not putting it to the ground. I still am leaning toward a sloppy converter not putting it to the ground. The engine sounds good, I'm making the power at the dyno (420rwhp/508tq) to where I should see around some 87 mph runs but the dyno measures after the the torque converter clutch is locked up in 3rd gear. On an 1/8 mile track you never get to the lockup in 3rd gear. Even on the 1/4 mile at Lfest I didn't fell the tranny lock up until about the 1000' mark. Before lockup I get a whole lot of torque converter slip according to my datalogger.
I've used to see solid 84mph and some 85 mph trap speeds before this transmission and torque converter combo when my truck was dynoing less than 400 at the wheels with just a pulley, tune, and a filter. Now I struggle for 83mph speeds and my truck is making more power.:hammer:

This was my first time out and I was sliding the truck down the track and just not getting off the line very good. So Jason explained the tree to me and when I shoud get off the line. After that I posted an RT of .414. Jason posted a .033 on one run. The sliding was caused by not doing a burn out to get the water off the tires. No more sliding after that.
Mods: Magnaflow exhaust, 4# pully, SCT tune, Air kit, polished TB & Intake, spacer between intake and blower, Stock 03 suspension.
