View Full Version : Terry - switched to cold tune - issue

Hey Terry,

We switched to the cold tune on the Sonic and now the passenger airbag light is on on the dash....the one on the radio console thingy is on as well even though the key hole lines up with "on" and not off.....any ideas?

That's the only issue we've seen so far - running well otherwise.

Just a coinidence I am sure. SCT does not affect any airbag controls. I will Email them just to double check. My snap on scan tool can check ABS and airbag systems if you make it by the shop.

here is SCT's reply.


The airbags should be totally unrelated to the EEC control on a EEC-V Lightning, so I am unsure of what caused this.

When your ABS light is on your ABS will not activate on one or more channels:hammer: .

ok, thanks for asking them. I'm not sure it's worth driving 4+ hours to find out....unless of course we feel the need to add more mods ;)

Find a local shop with a good scan tool and they can troubleshoot your airbag system.
