Terry,

I thought I would post this because I just saw in another thread that you thought ram air systems were worthless. I have an airraid intake right now, and was in the process of making a ram air system to feed into the bottom of the intake. Is this a bad idea? Will I see no gains? Will it somehow hurt something? Your expertise (or anyone else for that matter) is greatly appretiated. Thanks

I know terry will say no lol... He hates the "ram air" kits

Also a true ram air system would have a sealed box for it to work effectivly. think about it you have an open filter in a open box with a scoup feeding some air to the box. Most of the air is still coming from where it was before the scoup.

I know when i had my airraid and first met terry he told me to take the front of the box off.

I know that Terry will bust my balls for posting this here but I have a ram air intake setup on my L and I saw a little not much performance gain but I did see about a mile per gallon increase. My setup cost me about 30 bucks and I did it myself.

The scoops under the bumper just cram sand and road grime into your engine and filter. Also try walking barefoot down the road during the summer. The radiant heat is about 140 degrees coming off the pavement, engines love that:rolleyes: .
