Andy was kind enough to let me borrow his PSP chip to try in my 99 L. My JL chip was giving me a bit of detonation at the top of 2nd gear AND with tip-in acceleration in high gear since I installed the 2psi lower pulley yesterday.

Andy's chip was burned for a 4lb pulley, and also the rest of the mods I have (90mm MAF, air intake, shift kit installed). So this thing works very well.

My truck is certainly faster than it was with the JL chip before the pulley install (was seeing 10psi on my boost gauge...now its way past that), and the driveability is excellent.

Andy was also kind enough to give me a 2002 FRPP catalog...which is cool b/c I can drool over the FRPP 392 crate motor I'm getting for my '66 Cobra replica. :D

Thanks again Andy! Let me know what I owe ya, and I'll take care of you right away.

Excellent, glad to hear it works for ya.
Just make me a reasonable offer and its yours.
Probably still a good idea to change out the plugs.
I love the Denso's I am running in mine, maybe Terry has a deal on Denso's this month....LOL

Congrats Wes. You should just take that Superchip and send it off to JDM to get a correct burn for you application. With a #2 you will not need to change the plugs. I ran my #2 for 16k w/ no problems. I ran a 12.842 @ 108.19 with just chip, filter, #2, and line mod on stock tires with the stocker plugs. I just recently stepped into a #6 w/ Denso IT24s and its going well so far. When we get this dyno trip together in the next few weeks you will have to bring her out and see what she will do!

That's a good thought, Sam. I had considered that. Then I can just try both chips and run the one that makes the most power. And this one I am getting from Andy will allow me to do a 4# pulley down the road, if I ever decide to do it.
