I was wondering how strong/weak is our third rear sliding window? I want something stronger then that latch, I don't want to get jacked again. Is there any other alternatives?

go with a solid rear window with no slider.. quieter too.

They sell them and come stock in some trucks.

Stock rear windows are @ 150 bucks, most guys will trade you a solid for a slider. I couldn't find the roll down window but I have seen them. Thst stock ones are just power slider like the Harleys.

I am not going to do the Harley power slide. I am going to have the whole rear window power slide up and down.

seems like either toyota or nissan has thenm factory in some of their trucks, the whole back glass comes down

4runner or something and the old station wagons all had a full power (up/down) rear window. I was going to make something using there motors and guts. Or something like that!?

The Sport Tracs have a power rear window like that.

I think that the one that we test drove did. Of course that was 2 years ago and I may be mistaken.
