North Texas Nissan is hosting a free car show and race day on November 19, 2005 to thank dfwstangs.net for their continued support of NTN. There is a free car show during the day at North Texas Nissan from 2-4 pm, and then from 4pm-late there will be free racing for people that attended the car show. You can go to the car show and hang out, enter the car show, or just stop by for the car show, and pick up your free racing voucher. The racing will be done at Denton Raceway, which is about 10 minutes from NTN.

At first, this was just a thank you from NTN to dfwstangs.net, but just recently a longtime board member was seriously injured while racing her 5second coupe down 1/8 track, Redline. So we have decided to make this into a fundraiser for the family of the injured racer.

Here is a link to the information about the races:http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=268266

Here is a link to the information on the woman that was injured:(Her name on the board is CobraChic, and her husband is Da Prez.)http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=270080

Even if you can not make it out to the show, and want to donate, there is a paypal address you can send money, to help this family in a time of need. She was careflighted, has had multiple surgeries, and a couple of weeks in the hospital, so the bills are going to be unreal in this up and coming holiday season.

Hope to see a few of you guys out there, whether it be racing or showing, or both.

Also, i figured if you guys all want to get some money together, and donate it as a gift from TALON, i could pick up the money from someone, and take it to the right people.

Looks like this is going to be wild- tons of cars/trucks from various clubs
quote from the organizer:
"I've decided to try to make this thing get way out of hand. Since I'm not sure whether 50 or 350 DFWStangers are going to show, I decided to open things up a bit. Today, I sent out what had to be 50 emails to every dfw area car club I could think of. So, invitations have been sent to the local AMC, Buick, Corvair, Corvette, GTO, Mustang, Oldsmobile, Prowler, 454 SS Truck, Firebird, Cougar, Cobra, SVT, Mopar, Ford Performance, Impala, Chevelle, Monza, Nova, Thunderbird, Viper, VW, Pantera, Shelby, Dodge, etc., etc., clubs. I've also contacted all the local Cobra Jet and Boss owners I know and told them about it.
If anyone here is a member of a car club, help me spread the word.
I hope we have to move every friggin' car in inventory off the lot to fit all the entrants. What the hell!
So, if you've been on the fence about this deal you ought to try and make it. It's heading toward being a massive event.
Get your asses out here on November 19!!!! "

North Texas Nissan is off of I35E in Corinth (just take the Post Oak exit and continue south on the service road about a 1/4 mile. We're on the west side of the highway. The phone number is 817-267-6411 if you get lost.) from 2-4pm and then off to Denton for track time.
