Another sports thread.

Did anyone watch the Mavs game last night? They got their asses kicked but I have a question. Along in the second quarter the Sixers are coming up the floor on a semi-fastbrake. Iverson has the ball and runs up the back of Dirk. Now mind you Dirk is facing away from Iverson. I'm not even sure Dirk knew he was there. Anyway Iverson runs up his back, falls away a puts up a shot that goes in! Bam...count the bucket and he goes to the line. If you didn't see it Iverson kind of jumps into Dirk comes down on his feet then shoots. Can someone PLEASE tell me why this is a foul on Dirk and why it's a continuation of the shot after he has come back down on the floor. If he is still in he air it would make more sense.:confused:

I have no idea why this is a foul but you get one step for a continuation shot after a foul happens.

If I didn't say it before the ref called a foul on Dirk. I don't understand how you can run into someone who is basicly just running down the court and that other guy gets the call for a foul. I'm sure there are members here who know more about the rules than I do.

I believe its considered a moving charge on Dirk, the shooter or ball handler has the right to the basket and even if he makes contact the defender is at fault. unless he is set and established ground then it would be on Iverson. Don't quote me on it, but I believe thats why he got the foul.

One of the many reasons I hate basketball. :hammer: I think if you look at another player funny it is a foul and he gets two shots...
