So, based on the last thread, it appears most everyone wants to keep the meetings as a lunch/dinner once a month and possibly have some additional things in addition. So now, the next questions come up...

1) What day of the week do we want to meet? Keep it Wednesday? Back to Thursday? Maybe Saturday?
2) Do we want to have meetings at one location or a series of locations? It sounds like most want a single location central to DFW. Maybe Humps? Maybe Firewater?
3) Where should the meetings be held that is centralized? Is the area we meet in centralized? I know I have a long haul to get there, but I want to make sure we give EVERYONE the best chance to get there.

Thoughts?

I'm still hoping for a quarterly meeting on Saturdays. Wednesdays are out for me.

So what I as thinking was having a lunch/dinner type of thing monthly and doing a quarterly event in addition. If we move the meeting to say Saturdays, we could do lunch/dinner monthly and quarterly we could intermingle strapping on the ol' feedbag with another activity. I am particularly looking to get the chance to take it out on the go-kart track and kick all of yer asses

I would, but I have a strange feeling the attendance would be pretty crappy. I think one member might show up...don't really know of anyone else that wants to drive 20+ hours or so for dinner and BS...

Saturdays sound like a popular choice and would be fun, but many ( most ) Saturdays I spend on the lake in the summer

We'll just see where this takes us and go from there. I know regardless of what decision ends up being made we will have folks that don't like it...my goal is make the most effective decision so we can get the maximum amount of participation. Hopefully I'm leading us down the right path...

Does this mean you're volunteering your boat as the meeting location? :)

Would anybody be able to bring a laptop and the appropriate stuff to broadcast a meeting? This might be :ron: at it's best!
