Can someone school me on why would you want a cold and a hot tune on a mildly mod L?

The cold temps cause the computer to add timing, more timing make more pressure, along with more dense air charge. It all adds up to boom. There is a reason the Lightning runs like a raped ape in cold weather, you just have to keep it in check. You'll notice over on F150Online a lot of blown motors pop up around October/November.

Hey Terry- I've got one of your cold/warm tunes. What is the ambient temperature dividing point between the two. My warm weather tune was pinging at me yesterday! (yes I loaded the cold weather map last night)

I believe around 65 degrees is ideal to change to your cold tune, but I may be wrong. (I do it around 60 or so)

Thanks for the input. I think Terry told me 65 or 70, but I don't remember for sure.

65-70deg is a safe point, of course nothing beats a little common sense and listening to the engine.
