Well, we're getting there. Made a few passes today, and was really encouraged with the progress. We're still tweaking the tune, and having to jack with the converter lock-up and shift points. She opened up with a spinning 8.70 @ 77mph. I immediately returned to the staging lanes, without turning off the motor, and did a better burnout. This time she responded with the folowing...
60'......1.899
330'....5.531
MPH....61.79
1/8.....8.601
MPH....78.31
She followed that up with a string of four more 8.60's in the 78mph range. Now, I realize this is not exactly setting the world on fire, but for a naturally aspirated 351, it's not too shabby. With some tweaking and some shorter 28" tall slicks, I believe 8.40's to 50's at around 80mph are a definite possibility. The tiny cam in this thing probably won't allow much more. A big thanks to Joe Richardson for all of his help in figuring out the computer tuning on this thing. It's been a real b!tch! Also to Dennis for use of the slicks.:tu:

props rob she ran good, i was definitley impressed:tu: , with some smaller slicks she should drop about tenth or two, and later on maybe a more aggressive cam, huh

They just don't prep the track at all on Thursdays or Sundays from what I gather. My truck hooked fairly well, but would have done better on a prepped track. Gen 2's on Drag Radials were playing absolute hell trying to get hooked up.

I like to go out and test on a night when pro mods or top sportsman are there (redline) the track is a lot better........LBT:)

I think it finally getting there Rob and I know you are too. I was impressed with the runs by "the red truck" and she'll give some stock and modded G2's a run for the money.

That's pretty darn impressive for a little hot rod cam. You should be sub 14-second at TAD. :tu:
